You will be respected in the classroom, by me, your other teachers, and your classmates. We will listen to, and think about, your thoughts and opinions. We will be aware of how we present ourselves and share our opinions respectfully. We will remember that how we speak and act definitely has an impact on our classroom community. We will remember that when we are respectful towards others, we will be treated with respect. And we will remember this: how you treat yourself and others reflects on who you are as a person.

- Listen when another person is talking
- Speak loudly enough so that everyone in the classroom can hear you
- Raise your hand if you would like to speak
- Lower your hand while others are speaking
- Only get up (to sharpen pencil, ask to go to the bathroom, etc.) at appropriate times, not during whole group instruction or discussion
- Follow rules in the Dummerston School Handbook
